TINIER THAN TWO’S
Mom & Me
Toddlers and their parents or caretakers enjoy a weekly, 75-minute program that provides an introduction to socialization and the nursery school experience.
• For children 13 to 24 months by October 1st

2's in Training
Our 2’s in Training class meets two days a week for an hour and forty-five minutes. The program starts in October and continues through the school year. The curriculum includes music, art and literature, with an emphasis on socialization. For the first three months, parents or caretakers stay with their children in the classroom. Beginning in January, the children gradually separate and the program transitions into a "drop-off" class.

Tot Rock
This fun-filled music class is designed for babies 6 - 18 months. Our in-house music teacher, Babette Davis, engages children and their parents or caretakers in 35 minutes of songs and rhythmic activities over the course of 10 weeks.

Tot Tunes
This music class is similar in format as Tot Rock, yet designed for toddlers 15 - 24 months. This will also be a 10 week course.

2 YEAR OLDS
Our 2’s program meets from 9:00 am - 11:30 am and has a maximum of 10 students per class, with two staff members. The curriculum includes music, art and literature, with a focus on socialization. We offer a two morning (Tues/Thurs), three morning (Monday/Wednesday/Friday), four morning (skip either Tuesday or Thursday) or five morning program (Monday through Friday). Shabbat is celebrated every week. Those who meet twice weekly (Tuesday and Thursday) celebrate Shabbat on Thursday. Classes meeting three, four, or five mornings celebrate Shabbat on Friday. Optional extension classes are offered throughout the year, such as lunch, Musically Two's, Dress For A Mess and Bible Buddies.

After School Additional Programs

  • Lunch for Two’s - your 2 year old will love to carry a lunch box like the big kids! As the year progresses, we will offer this add-on option to your child’s regular schedule. You will also have the opportunity to order a bagel lunch for your child.
  • Musically Two’s - fun-filled 45-minute class of lunch, music and dance, designed to gradually lengthen the separation time for your two year old. This program starts after Winter Recess.
  • Dress For A Mess - an hour and a quarter of messy fun and lunch for your 2 year old is available. Students explore a range of media, such as clay, tempra, finger paint and silly putty. This class emphasizes the process NOT the product.
  • Bible Buddies - a great 45-minute addition to your 2 year old’s morning. They will love this creative drama class based on Bible stories.

3 YEAR OLDS
Our 3’s program meets every morning from 9:00 am - 11:30 am. Children are encouraged to attend a minimum of three morning sessions. Building on their growing skill-base, the 3’s diverse curriculum includes specialty classes in Music, Art, Literature, Hebrew, Science and Sports with Coach Rick. A supervised lunch program is available daily from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm. A DAIRY or PARVE lunch must be provided by the parents. You will have the opportunity to order a bagel lunch for your child on Mondays and a pizza lunch on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Children may leave after lunch or opt to attend one or more of our exciting afternoon programs, which run until 2:00 pm daily.

Afternoon Curriculum

  • Monday: Lunch & Literature, story-time with a related hands-on project.
  • Tuesday: Science & Fun, with interactive activity in discovery and experimentation.
  • Wednesday: Music & More, an introduction to musical concepts, instrument-making and vocals.
  • Thursday: Creative Drama, children are introduced to the dramatic arts through stories and puppetry.
  • Friday: Budding Artists, a creative class where children work in mixed media.
After School Additional Programs
  • Dress For A Mess - Students explore a range of media, such as clay, tempra, finger paint and silly putty. This class emphasizes the process NOT the product.
  • Israeli Dance - Great fun for boys and girls, this class meets for a joyful half hour of dance instruction.
  • Sports with Coach Rick - Your child will love to stay after school to participate in ALL SORTS OF SPORTS with their friends. No need to schlep to after school activities - we have Coach Rick right here!
  • Cooking - Our little chefs cook up a storm! They chop, peel, stir and measure to make such yummy edibles as fruit kabobs, challah, rice krispie treats, cookies, cheese sandwiches, pancakes and more.

Early Drop Off and After Care - Our 3’s can arrive as early as 8:15 am. Arrangements can be made to stay as late as 5:00 pm Monday through Thursday. On Fridays we close at 2:00 pm.

4 YEAR OLDS
Our 4’s program meets every morning from 9:00 am to 11:30 am. Children must attend a minimum of three morning sessions. Curriculum includes specialty classes in music, art, literature, conversational Hebrew, science and sports with Coach Rick. Throughout the year, there are a variety of exciting field trips, chaperoned by parents and teachers. A supervised lunch program is available daily from 11:30 am to 12:15 pm. A DAIRY or PARVE lunch must be provided by the parents. You will have the opportunity to order a bagel lunch for your child on Mondays and a pizza lunch on Tuesdays and/or Thursdays. Children may leave after lunch or opt to attend one or more of our exciting afternoon programs, which run until 2:45 pm Monday through Thursday and until 2:00 pm on Friday. Children must register for a minimum of two afternoon sessions, not including Fridays.

Afternoon Curriculum
The 4’s afternoon enrichment program is structured into subject units. Each unit serves as the curriculum’s central theme for 4 to 6 weeks. All activities, lessons and projects tie back to this central theme, encouraging a well-rounded learning experience.

HEBREW IMMERSION - Our 6th Year!
We are once again thrilled to offer our 3’s and 4’s a Hebrew Language Immersion program, created by the Melton Center of the Jewish Theological Seminary in New York. We are one of a handful of schools to have had the opportunity to train our teachers in the Immersion Language Method. It is a very exciting program, to see our little children engaging in conversational Hebrew. Come and visit our classroom to observe for yourself.

KINDERGARTEN
Kindergarten Enrichment
CAI Nursery School’s commitment to early education continues into the kindergarten year. Whether you are looking to supplement your child’s half-day elementary program, or if you are interested in an after school class, we have the right solution for you.

Extend your child’s half-day kindergarten program with this popular option. Select one to five morning or afternoon sessions each week. Classes are 9:00 am - 11:00 am and 12:30 pm - 2:30 pm. (Minimum enrollment is needed for class to be offered.)

After School Additional Programs
Our After School Art Class is offered 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm. This is an opportunity for full-day kindergarten children to experience artists and their work. The children will make their own artwork, representative of the various artists that are studied.
