Environmental Committee
This year the Environmental Committee plans on running a number of programs which will educate and energize our congregants to work
towards a healthier local community, synagogue building and our lives at home. To join this important effort, please contact Program

Issues at hand:
Coffee/Tea: Purchase of and selling of fair trade, organic coffee to raise funds to cover costs of serving this coffee at
kiddish and other synagogue functions.
Solar Panels for the synagogue
Recycling Program for the building, nursery school, religious school, etc.
Environmental Outings;
Sermons/Programs will present various aspects of "greening".
-350 degrees Environmental Day of Action Saturday, October 24th
Re-Directory is the local source on how to go "green" in our communities.
Sales continue with stainless steel water bottles, chico bags, Act Ecologically T-shirts, posters, car magnets, club soda
machines, smencils (pencils made out of recycled newspapers) and eco-Shabbat candles. These can be purchased in the main office.
