SHABBAT SERVICES
WEEKLY SCHEDULE / MONTHLY CALENDAR
SHABBAT NAME TAGS
The book of Exodus, which we’re now reading, has a different name in Hebrew. It’s called Sefer Sh’mot which literally means “the book of names.” The book opens with a list of the names of the Israelite families who went down to Egypt. In Judaism, a name is a key part of a person’s identity. As we read the book of names, we’re excited to reintroduce name tags to our Shabbat services. They’ll help us learn (and remember) each other’s names and create a stronger sense of shared community.
During Shabbat services on Jan. 14 and Jan. 21, name tags for every adult member will be available for pickup in the Promenade. Going forward, you will be responsible for your name tag. Please bring it home with you after services. If you are not going to be attending Shabbat services on either of those dates, from Jan. 27 – Feb. 24 Shabbat greeters will be able to give you your name tag. Beginning Feb. 27 the name tags will be available for pick up at the Main Office during regular office hours.
If a teen (post B’nei Mitzvah) or young adult in your household is interested in getting a name tag, please send your request to communications@agudath.org. You will be notified via email when the name tag is ready for pick up. Please note, if you lose your name tag, you will be responsible for requesting a new one from the Main Office and a replacement fee of $5.00 will be added to your ShulCloud account.

Do you need help getting to the doctor or running errands? Would you like to attend Shabbat services or events at the synagogue but don't have a way to get there? Are you temporarily unable to cook meals due to an injury or illness? Are you unable to leave your home and would enjoy visitors during the day?
Our Caring Committee Volunteers may be able to help you. If you have a need that we may be able to help with, please email the Caring Committee at caringcommittee@agudath.org or leave a message on our confidential voicemail at 973-226-3600 ext. 142 and our coordinator, Cheryl Bernstein, will be back in touch with you.
