12:00 PM - 1:15 PMAdult LoungeThroughout the Days of Awe, we have been focusing on the concepts of sin and atonement. We learn through the Unetanah Tokef that we can avert the severe decree through prayer, charity, and repentance. In the novel "The Kite Runner," Amir, the protagonist, sins as a young boy and spends much of his life suffering from unrelenting guilt. Finally, as an adult, he repents through great acts of self sacrifice and bravery. It is through Amir’s actions that we can experience the all-too-common reasons for sin, and the actions necessary to achieve atonement.
