Leaving our early childhood center and moving on to kindergarten is bittersweet. We are confident that your children are ready to take the next step in their lives, and we are sad to see them go.

We have a lot planned to celebrate this important ending and support you in the journey of helping them move forward.

Many of you are already involved with plans for the graduation and the yearbook.

Starting Kindergarten is a big transition for children and their parents. Many children worry about what “big school” will be like and their parents wonder if they are ready.

Often, our concerns and anxieties can be lessened when we have more information about what is to come. To that end, we have planned an important evening event for you on Wednesday night, March 17th and we hope that you will attend.

We will be presenting a workshop on Transition to Kindergarten which will include:

• A brief overview of the start of kindergarten by a kindergarten teacher from one of our local public schools and a member of the district administration.
•  A presentation by a social worker on how to help children manage their fears and concerns and ease the transition for you and your child.
• An opportunity to hear from current kindergarten parents about their own experiences.
• Overview of our Religious School options and more information about the different ways for your child to continue to be a part of the Agudath Israel family.
