Build a light box with us.  Play with light, color, and reflection.  Children will learn scientific terms like Transparent, Translucent and Opaque.

Did you find some transparent and translucent things in your house?  We want to see them.  And we will be making some fun tools to use on our light table.  We can build, we can do math, art and science all with our light box! 

We are going to make TRANSPARENT COOKIES!  Bringing light to our tummies too?  Oh yes.  We will be making some yummy stained glass cookies, so grab your measuring cups and cookie cutters.  This will be a tasty morning of fun.  Help for these tiny bakers will be needed this morning.

Bring the light studio home

The light studio has been an exciting place to explore the past few weeks, but it doesn’t just have to be for Chanukah!  We will give your children a chance to explore at their own pace and in the comfort of their own home.  This light camp will be fun, educational and enLIGHTening, of course!  Children will be able to use experiences they’ve had in the light studio and build upon their own discoveries at home with their own light box.  With a few days of materials and challenges, they will find new and different ways to shine.  This is the kind of activity that lends itself to all learning domains and is appropriate for children of any age.

Sign up for the 9:30 or 10:30 time slot, and Alison, Michelle and Danielle will be there to guide you thru activities, challenges, and discovery.  We will also record our meetings so you can view them another time if you would prefer.  Additional fun videos on the ECC website will supplement the lessons .
